Where Healing Becomes Whole
Skin and Soul was born from art, compassion, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel complete again.

Our Beginning
Skin and Soul began with one woman’s journey — Erin’s — shaped by decades of artistry, deep compassion, and the profound impact of her Aunt Bev.
Erin grew up creating art, eventually becoming a professional illustrator, muralist, and fine artist. But it was her beloved Aunt Bev — affectionately known as “Buff” — who planted the seed for a much deeper purpose.
Buff survived breast cancer four times over 40 years, each chapter leaving both physical and emotional scars. Her strength, grace, and fight became the inspiration that later guided Erin toward medical aesthetics, restorative tattooing, and whole-person healing.
After witnessing the courage of women navigating surgeries, scars, reconstruction, and the invisible emotional aftermath, Erin knew she wanted to use her artistic gift for good. She returned to school in her 50s, obtained her advanced medical aesthetician licensing, and dedicated herself to learning the technical, artistic, and trauma-informed skills needed to truly transform lives.
Skin and Soul was created to honor Aunt Bev —
and every woman who has ever looked in the mirror and wished to feel like herself again.
The Story of Bev
A Legacy of Joy, Connection, and Doing Good
There are people in our lives who don’t just move through the world — they lift it. Bev was one of those people. For those blessed enough to know her, she remains a reminder of how powerful one heart can be when it chooses joy, kindness, and connection every single day.
Bev believed in living fully.
She believed in making lists of good things to do — and then doing them.
She believed in laughter, in gathering people close, and in never letting anyone feel alone.
And she refused to tolerate “giver-uppers.”
Her glass was always half full, even when life gave her every reason to believe otherwise.
She raised five children, often on her own.
She faced more than her share of health challenges.
She met hardship with a smile and a “let’s do this” attitude that inspired everyone around her.
Bev wasn’t just an optimist — she was a force of nature.

A Legacy of Love, Laughter, and Connection
Honoring a woman who brought people together, cherished every season of gratitude, and left behind a spirit that continues to guide us all.
A Woman Who Brought People Together
Bev had a gift for connection. She welcomed people into her home, into her life, and into each other’s lives. She often invited groups of friends who didn’t know each other, trusting her intuition that they should. And she was always right.
No one went unnoticed on her watch.
If someone showed up alone or tried to blend into the background, Bev found them — and by the end of the evening, she had introduced them to someone she swore they were destined to meet.
Loneliness simply didn’t exist in her vocabulary.
Her Favorite Holiday? Thanksgiving.
It makes perfect sense that Bev loved Thanksgiving most of all — a day built on gathering, gratitude, food, family, and laughter.
If Bev heard someone didn’t have plans, she invited them immediately.
Often, it was someone she had never met, but she knew that once they walked through her door, they would belong.
Because Bev believed everyone belonged.
She knew the secret we sometimes forget:
laughter is one of our greatest gifts.
And she made sure there was plenty of it wherever she went.
Mimi’s Legacy
If you were lucky enough to be one of her grandchildren, you felt her love like a constant presence — a gentle whisper reminding you to do your best and make her proud.
And when life presented a choice, she’d want you to remember:
“One for Mimi.”
A nod toward joy. Toward gratitude. Toward choosing what’s good.

Be Like Bev
Bev connected us.
She loved us.
She continues to watch over us.
Her life challenges us to look at the world with kinder eyes, open arms, and a heart ready to include, welcome, gather, and connect.
So today, we honor her.
We let go of heaviness and lift up the brightest colors in her memory.
We choose to live the way she taught us:
- Be a welcomer.
- Be an includer.
- Be a connector.
- See the good.
- Share the good.
- Make a difference.
Because she did.
And her legacy continues every time we choose to love the way she loved.
Our Story Today
Today, Skin and Soul serves as a sanctuary for women healing from breast cancer, trauma, surgery, or deeply personal life chapters. Here, healing is not just a service — it is a full-body, full-heart experience.
Through restorative tattooing, scar revision, microneedling, Reiki, and somatic emotional support, Erin brings together both sides of her life’s work:
the precision of a trained medical professional and the intuition of a lifelong artist.
Clients come to us for many reasons:
- To reclaim their reflection after mastectomy
- To soften scars that carry painful memories
- To restore identity, dignity, and confidence
- To receive healing energy and emotional grounding
- To begin again after trauma
- To feel whole, seen, and safe
Skin and Soul continues to grow, now collaborating with skilled practitioners and supportive medical partners who share the same mission — to serve the whole woman, not just the part of her that needs treatment.
Here, every journey is honored.
Every story is respected.
Every woman is met with love, artistry, and the deepest care.
Because healing the skin is one thing.
Healing the soul is everything.
